Transitional Cell Carcinoma

Transitional Cell Carcinoma

TCC left kidney. This patient presented with haematuria. His IVP (intravenous pyelogram, also known as an IV Urogram) shows normal opacification of the collecting system of the right kidney. However there is a large filling defect in the left renal pelvis (arrows), suspicious for a neoplasm. Subsequent CT (right-hand image) confirmed this – the kidney was removed, and the tumour was shown to be a TCC.
