Retroperitoneal liposarcoma

Retroperitoneal liposarcoma

Retroperitoneal liposarcoma. This CT shows a huge fatty mass occupying the entire left side of the patient’s abdomen, displacing the abdominal organs to the right side. The mass looks similar to the subcutaneous fat, however this is a well-differentiated liposarcoma. These have low potential for metastases but have a tendency to recur after surgery.
