Osteochondral defect, knee

Osteochondral defect. This 26 year old man has right knee pain. His radiographs show an osteochondral defect involving the lateral aspect of his medial femoral condyle (the most common location to see this condition). The abnormality is subtle and is best appreciated on the magnified lateral image. The next most common location to see an osteochondral defect is in the dome of the talus.
