Ocular melanoma – US and MRI

Melanoma is the most common primary neoplasm of the eye in adults and can be diagnosed with excellent sensitivity using high-frequency, high-resolution ultrasound, as shown on the image on the left (arrows). Post-gadolinium staging MRI, right, shows similar appearances with no evidence of extra-ocular extension.
